Chiyaan Vikram, a celebrity in Kollywood, has begun production on his next film Thangaalan while still basking in the popularity of his just released epic historical period action movie Ponniyin Selvan 1.

Pa, a well-known director, is behind the camera. Ranjith, known for blockbuster films like Madras, Kabali, Kaala, and Sarpatta Parambarai, among others, would be in charge of directing it.

The high-budget pan-Indian film, which was produced by Studios Green, KE Gnanavel Raja, and Neelam Productions, will be released in a number of languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. The official release date for the movie has not yet been announced by its producers.

The movie, whose working title was Chiyaan 61, is billed as a period drama and now goes by Thangaalan. The crew announced the title via a one-minute announcement video on October 23, the day before Diwali, in which Vikram played a tribal guy who also appeared to be the head of his village. He and the other movie characters are depicted in the video with a scruffy appearance.

Vikram is seen in a menacing and vicious avatar in the film’s first poster. Pa and Biggie Vikram. Ranjeet and Ranjeet are collaborating for the first time on this project.

GV Prakash composed the music and the background score for the movie, and A. One rendition is by Selva RK, and the other is by Kishore Kumar. Tamil Prabha wrote the book’s narrative. The movie is based on actual events and is set in the Kolar gold mines during the time before independence.
