Ranbir Kapoor Unhappy with Flirty Deepika Padukone; Actress Wishes ‘He Expressed More’
Introduction
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone had one of the most candid conversations about their relationship, breakup, and then becoming friends again. It’s been 11 years since “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” (YJHD) released, and later this year, it will be nine years since “Tamasha” came out. Fans often reflect on their chats and interviews from both eras.
Revealing Their Dislikes
In one of their interviews, the actors confessed to having traits they do not like about each other. The “Animal” lead confessed he hated that Deepika was a flirt. “That she is a flirt. That she is working too much and should not burn herself out. She should take more holidays and breaks and should reserve herself, which she has started doing now,” Ranbir told the Bombay Times in 2015 when asked to name the traits he dislikes about her.
Deepika’s Perspective
Reacting to the same question, Deepika commented, “There are more things I don’t like than like about him. I like that he is very, very respectful towards people. He is also someone who does not get visibly affected by people and situations. He is someone who can detach.”
Highlighting the Positives
They were, of course, also asked questions regarding things that they liked about each other. Deepika reiterated, “There are more things I don’t like than like about him. I like that he is very, very respectful towards people. He is also someone who does not get visibly affected by people and situations. He is someone who can detach.”
Ranbir, on the other hand, admired Deepika’s values that come from her parents. “She can say a lot of the wrong things, or she can do some pretty uncomfortable things, like be obnoxious, rude, and sweet a lot of the time. But it’s all coming from a place that feels organic in terms of her sense of things. I don’t think she’s ever saying something because somebody else has said it. It comes from what she thinks, and she’s very positive. Now, here is someone who will take so much care of her co-actor or director if you do an interview or scene with her. She does not have an egoistic mind centered on being the hero, or she would be a superstar who would like to steal the show even if someone else is talking.”
Moving On
Eleven years later, Ranbir and Deepika have moved on and are married. Ranbir is married to Alia Bhatt and is the father of a daughter. Deepika, on her part, married Ranveer Singh and is expecting her first child.
