After the success of Ayushmann Khurrana’s 2019 hit “Dream Girl”, his “Dream Girl 2” will hit the theaters on August 25.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the sequel stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Ananya Panday, Manjot Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa and Vijay Raaz. The lively story of the film continues the legacy of its predecessor and has made an impressive collection of over Rs 40 crore in its opening weekend.
Dream Girl 2 directed by Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday starts at Rs 10 crore at the box office. According to SacNilc, the momentum was maintained, collecting Rs 14.02 crore on Saturday and an additional Rs 16 crore on Sunday.
The sequel has achieved an impressive weekend collection of Rs 40.69 crore. While Monday’s earnings are estimated to drop to around Rs 5 crore, Ayushmann shared his excitement over the triumphant opening of the film, saying, “It feels amazing to make my career-best debut with Dream Girl 2. Dream Girl is a franchise ” I loved it, and I am really happy with the opening that Dream Girl 2 has got at the box office.”
